Ashley and Alex met in Charlottesville on the first day of classes at the University of Virginia School of Law. Fate would have it that where they met would also play a big role in how Alex proposed. On a trip back to Charlottesville a little while later, Alex proposed with a customized version of the school newspaper, which was special since they had both worked on the paper while students. Yep, they are THAT adorable, and Alex is THAT creative you guys.
Now practicing law in New York City, they decided to come back to Alex’s home state of Georgia for a destination wedding. The Fox Theater was as they say, fabulous, and an amazing choice for a venue. They exchanged vows in the Grand Salon surrounded by family and friends, including their man of honor and best women in the wedding party, and later danced their booties off in the Egyptian Ballroom. There were lots of special details sprinkled throughout the day, from the bridal Tieks Ashley wore (a staple shoe for any New Yorker) to the donation they made in lieu of favors to the animal shelter where they found their fur baby, Sampson.
We’re so excited for Ashley and Alex and can’t wait to see where married life takes them (and little Sampson)!
