Timeless Wedding at The Swan House at The Atlanta History Center | Sophie + Oscar

We love love love Sophie and Oscar and part of that might because we’re basically family (no really, Sophie and I share cousins so we kinda are connected in a fun little way). Anyways, it’s been so easy and great to work with them! When they asked us to shoot their engagement photos and then their engagement party I felt so honored to share in their journey towards marriage. And the wedding day…gosh the wedding day. What a gorgeous, sweet, thoughtful, lovely day. Sophie is effortlessly gorgeous and oh so kind. Really, I don’t know if I’ve met anyone more genuinely nice as her. And Oscar is just as wonderful to be around.

The day started at The Kimpton Sylvan Hotel here in Atlanta where Sophie and the girls got ready. We loved shooting all the little details within the space, including the private area outside. Sophie was surrounded by the best ladies and snagging a few shots of them with her was so fun. For the wedding, we made our way to the incredible Swan House nestled in the woods behind the Atlanta History Center. Everything felt so perfect, from the first look to the ceremony at the foot of the grand staircase. Every single space and every single moment was beautiful to photograph – something straight out of a magazine. Now when it came down to the reception, guests didn’t disappoint. Not only was there an epic dance party but Sophie’s “freeze frame” idea was a hit (look it up or see examples below – it’s awesome and makes for great group photos). We feel so lucky and honored to have been able to celebrate with these two. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lind – we wish you the best in your adventure ahead!
