Jessica and Ryan met online a few years back, and fell in love over weekends spent hiking and downtown dinner dates. One of their favorite memories while dating was the weekend they ice skated in the quiet little town of Highlands, NC. Hot cocoa in hand, they felt like they had the whole place to themselves. Arguable the BEST date though, was the the day Ryan proposed. They were in Spain visiting Plaza de Espana for the evening – fun fact, a few scenes from Star Wars were filmed there (so that’s cool). After taking a few photos at the plaza and listening to the street musicians for a while, Jessica turned around to find Ryan on one knee. Obviously she said yes, and here we are!
When there wedding day finally came, they decided to have an intimate ceremony with their closest family surrounded them. Now, this wasn’t their original plan, not in the least, but with a worldwide pandemic keeping us inside they had to make the difficult decision to postpone the big celebration until later in the year. They handled the situation with grace and we are so glad they were still able to get married. It was such a special day and we couldn’t be happier for them. What’s pretty exciting, is that they get to celebrate all over again come fall. This time with ALL of their family and friends. There’s more to come you guys, and it’s going to be amazing!
Take a peak at their beautiful ceremony and sweet little couples’ session at the park nearby.
